Regulatory horizon
Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 requires disclosure of AI interaction, machine-readable marking of synthetic content, and visible labelling of deepfakes and unreviewed AI-generated public-interest text. For most organizations the hard part is not the label — it is knowing which role they hold, for which system, and being able to evidence it.
